INTRODUCTION
COVID-19 pandemic affects the population in many ways especially mental health. Good mental health is when you feel positive about yourself and cope well with everyday pressures.
Mental health according to (WHO) is a state of well-being in
which an individual realizes his or her own abilities, can cope with the normal
stresses of life, can work productively, and can make a contribution to
his or her community.

•Mental health is more than the absence of mental
disorders.
•Mental health is an integral part of health;
indeed, there is no health without mental health.
•Mental health is determined by a range of socioeconomic,
biological, and environmental factors.
WHY MENTAL HEALTH IS IMPORTANT?
•Mental health is important because it’s a vital part of your
life and impacts your thoughts, behaviors, and emotions. Being healthy
emotionally can promote productivity and effectiveness in activities like work,
school, or caregiving. It plays an important part in the health of your
relationships and allows you to adapt to changes in your life and cope with
adversity.
POSITIVE EFFECTS OF GOOD MENTAL HEALTH:

•Clearer thinking.
•A greater sense of calm or inner peace.
•Increased self-esteem.
•Reduced risk of depression.
