Introduction:
The greatest holy month that every Muslim is
waiting for It’s spiritual, psychological, social, cognitive, and physical
health and well-being. In Ramadan time people are fasting from daybreak to Dusk
time. This time is special for
self-improvement, kindness, and reflection. Health during Ramadan can be
improved and maintained with guidance from healthcare professionals the patient
or any normal person can have good health. Physical health and mental health
also improved during this period with social active time with prayers, family,
and friends gathering mostly this month is wonderful and greatest for every
person.
The benefits of fasting:
There are many benefits if the person fast during
Ramadan time which regulates bad cholesterol levels when
you target to lose weight in Ramadan and eat a healthy diet the cholesterol
will reduce because of eating non-oily food. The appetite
changes during Ramadan and give chance for the digestive
system the to rest and relax which will enhance health and well-being.
This month during fasting the body rebuild its cells
and detoxifies the body from harmful toxins. Also, during this month, mental and psychological health improves because of the
resilience of stress on the brain, adaptation to change, improved mood, and
learning capabilities.
How to improve health:
During Ramadan, health can be improved but the
person must have a plan to maintain or improve his health.
The plan can be:
1- Eating healthy Iftar by
breaking your iftar by eating 3 dates and water to hydrate your body, don’t
start with eating heavy meals that cause you to be idle and sleepy, instead of
heavy meals eat food that hydrates your body and gives your body power and all
elements the body needs like carbohydrates, proteins, vitamins, and minerals.
2- When taking Suhoor must
be like your breakfast that must be hydrating your body full day and give your
body the energy and power to do your day that also must contain all rich food
that low gastrointestinal system form easily digestion can remain full day and
gives you power and energy.
3- Body hydration is
most important during Ramadan to reduce complications of dehydration like
headaches and reduce concentration during the day. So, the person must take
water in Iftar and Suhoor time and fresh juice, milk, and soup to hydrate the
body and avoid taking coffee and tea which can cause dehydration.
4- During Ramadan
the person can plan to do exercises moderately this
can refresh you and reduce fatigue, and tiredness, and strengthen your body
during fasting with weight loss.
5- During this time the person can quit unhealthy habits like smoking and taking sweets.
This time is a chance for them to change their lifestyle to a healthy lifestyle
to live healthy and longer with well-being.
So, Ramadan is a wonderful and greatest holy
month that the person be affected positively by changes in his habits and
maintain his well-being.
